Trivia for Squiggle #2

Sorry I didn't post these earlier and sorry I haven't been blogging for a few days...but I'm back and kicking ass (or at least poking someone in the side with a stick). This week's issue of Trivia for Squiggle contains useless bits of information about the human body, various products, and food.

"31. Americans consume 42 tons of aspirin per day."

42 tons? ... Surely that's not possible ... I can just imagine the bag-packers at the chemists. I don't think they'd be too impressed.

"36. Colgate claims "Tooth Fairy" as a registered trademark."

I bet they're holding her hostage in a basement somewhere, ensuring that her tyranical efforts to steal the teeth of the world don't get in the way of corporate greed.

"42. Americans spend approximately $25 billion each year on beer."

$25 billion on beer ... now I see the need for the 42 tons of aspirin.

"49. In 1976, the first eight Jelly Belly® flavors were launched: Orange, Green Apple, Root Beer, Very Cherry, Lemon, Cream Soda, Grape, and Licorice."

But the question begs ... Do you eat their heads or legs first?!

And that quote ... It's haunting me!!!!!

MJ: 0.1 calories is too much!?

I tried looking up that quote in Google. You get more than a few dating sites as results. It's almost frightening how many people say things like that!
