Movie Quote Answers
I didn't post these earlier because I have been busy with work and lazy in my free time. My brain is complete mush right now. I went to a Metal Skool/Godhead concert last night and I still can't hear anything and I'm unbelievably tired (didn't get home until 2:30AM). Although I will say this. The band that played before Godhead was AMAZING. They were called The Subterranean Jack and they were everything Tool should be right now and even better than that. Every member of this trio is unique and incredibly talented. Their website is not up just yet, but you can check them out on MySpace for now.

Yet another quote from Dennis Hopper as Kaufman from George A. Romero's Land of the Dead.
“It's on random."
One of many lines from Shaun of the Dead that are repeated by one or more characters. This particular one was stated in the Winchester pub by Simon Pegg as Shaun after his girlfriend Liz dumps him and by Nick Frost as Ed towards the end of the film when the zombies are trying to break in and they battling the pub owner who has become a zombie.

I actually wrote a little acoustic number a few years back (that never got recorded) called "Shit Salad" and it was based on these lines from Drowning Mona. I don't remember all the words but the beginning went something like "When life gets you down/Don't sing another ballad/Take all your troubles/And make some shit salad"...catchy, ain't it?

Rafe Spall as Noel at Shaun's work...which was called Foree Electric after the kick-ass Ken Foree of Dawn of the Dead fame, whose most recent film at this very moment is none other than The Devil’s Rejects!
Bill Nighy as Philip as he exits Foree Electric.

The Subterranean Jack: don't think they have a CD yet. There weren't any on sale at the show. I assume when their website launches there might be some talk of that. Why this band is not signed already astounds me. The crappy "OC" band before them was. SubJack is just AMAZING. The whole time I kept thinking "a band like this makes me not want to ever start my own band again because it won't nearly be as good as this"...they are so damn good. I think this band has a lot of potential and will definitely go places if given the chance.
Common Sense: keep it. It's horrible.
Lock, Stock: you know, it really isn't an incredible soundtrack...but there are some gems on there like Zorba.
Metallica: you borrowed Reload, which I think was not as good as Load, but "Fixxxer" is one of my most favorite Metallica songs EVER...and oh yeah, your co-worker is dumb as shit. Metallica sucks now. Their current music sucks and they keep touring with crappy nu-metal bands in some lame attempt to connect with new youth. At this point they're just in it for the money. Sobriety and the lack of Newsted killed this band. I supported them through the whole cutting their hair deal and I was all for them when they went against Napster, but they need to just retire and enjoy their millions.

I put a movie quote in a smaller font at the end of each blog post. I encourage everyone to take a stab at guessing whence the quote came in the comments section of the post the quote is attached to. Every week or two I'll list all the answers in their own post...although forgot not that I will also list a new quote at the end of the answers post as well. Although I will work on your request for trivia. It shall come soon...hopefully.
