"When a cow laughs, does milk come out her nose?" ~ Author Unknown

Doug got the high score of this installment with 8 out of 10 correct...! Many thanks to mg (6 out of 10) and Yasamin (4 out of 10) for also playing...

1. The pulsating engine sound of the Star Destroyer is a manipulated recording of a:
A. Broken air conditioner

2. According to an interview with George Lucas
, originally Luke was:
A. A girl
Re: Answer B (Green alien) - this is what Han Solo was originally supposed to be...

3. Originally, Luke Skywalker’s last name was:
C. Starkiller
I made up the name "Cloudhopper" and "Starscreamer" was a nod to Slipknot's DJ who jockeys on the side as DJ Starscream

4. “Vader” is Dutch for:
A. Father
Hmmm...a spoiler from the very beginning...right in front of our eyes!

5. Which of the three original Star Wars films had the longest production shoot?
B. Episode V
Principal photography lasted over 170 days...

6. Determined to keep the ending to “The Empire Strikes Back” a secret, what line did George Lucas have Darth Vader say to Luke on set instead of “I am your father”?
A. “Obi-Wan killed your father”

7. The Huttese language spoken by Jabba the Hut was inspired by:
B. The Incan language Quechua
...and then it was enhanced electronically. Lando's little co-pilot buddy's language was based on the Kenyan language of Haya

8. “Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi” was filmed under what working title to protect the secrecy of the production and keep costs down?
A. Teddy Bear’s Picnic
B. Blue Harvest
C. Planet Terror
Another reason for filming under the guise of the non-descript horror movie title, "Blue Harvest" was (partly to put off any snoopers and also) because the production found that if they mentioned they were working on the next Star Wars film, suppliers would automatically ramp up their prices, assuming that money was no object for Lucasfilm. I threw in the title "Teddy Bear's Picnic" because after all the Phantom Menaces, Siths, Empire Striking Back, and Jedis Returning, it all ends with a fucking teddy bear's picnic...

9. The slithery noises made when Jabba the Hutt moves were created by the sound man:
A. Running his hands through a cheese casserole

10. Qui-Gon Jinn's communicator is actually a redecorated what?
A. Sensor Excel Razor for Women

However, when Lucas originally released the first three episodes on DVD, the celebration on Endor was removed completely. You didn't see any partying Ewoks at all.

I should have J answer all the quizzes. He's better at this sort of trivia than I am ;)
